Besides just being a ridiculously funny concept, the song itself is really nice!

Rush Hour 2 is on TV right now, playing and muted in the background. I've been really busy since school started... trying to keep up with my two internships, a full load of classes, homework, graduation requirements, Triple-Major, Project White T-shirt and freelance work. Antonio and I are organizing and co-curating an art show called The Technology Show and doing an open call for Tisch, Gallatin and Steinhardt artists soon, meeting tomorrow to discuss more proposal particulars and website stuff. Adam and I are trying to start a literary arts magazine too, so that's in the works as well.

In other words I'm so busy that if I paused to make dinner like I should right now, I wouldn't be able to catch up on my work. Ahhh!!

it takes so much for me to be impressed with a movie, much less with a specific director's universe. It pulls from reality and yet it is not reality. Everything is a dream. The music is perfect. The styling is perfect. The editing is perfect. The characters are perfect. The stories -- working backwards, forwards and stitched through retrospect, are perfect. The angles and lighting and mood and flow of time-- all perfect.

I'm blown away. I also saw Blonde Redhead tonight at Prospect Park. Came home and finished 2046 and even seeing Blonde Redhead perform at night in a forest wasn't quite as good as this movie.

This was from this morning. Then I went to class for four hours. Then I went to Chipotle. Then I went to class for another four hours. Then I came home. The shoot is for a series called "STRANGE CREATURE" for the Narcisscus issue of the magazine we're all working on. I wanted to look sort of like a contorted creature, something sort of mysterious and monstrous but bathed in a light, soft, beautiful light.

Violet's make-up was a strange armor. I felt like a different person so I wasn't as shy in front of the camera as I usually am.

Neha's photos from Coachella

I took my film to Duggal for professional developing yesterday. They said it would be ready Wednesday. I'm just sitting and waiting for it to get scanned now. :| so impatient. I hope the photos from Chateau Marmont came out well... I had a lot of fun playing ping pong with Neha there, hahah. I told my dad last night that I heard Paul McCartney play at Coachella and he was finally impressed hahah.

Days until Adam comes home: 8

Adam comes home in EIGHT DAYS!!! aggghhhh so fucking excited. and nervous, anxious, apprehensive. He is traveling around somewhere in Africa right now with Mr. Healy (who used to be the President of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council but is now writing and publishing his own poems), who is advising him on contract/job stuff... I hope everything works out. Even if I stop considering how much I want him to come back, I just think that one year on an island off the coast of Senegal is enough and that he really actually doesn't belong there and would be much happier back home.

I am finishing up the cupcakes from the picnic. Picnic photos are in the 4 roll batch as well. I don't really expect those to come out great but there are a few from L.A. and Palm Springs that I really want to see...

My week in Paris was fucking amazing. As soon as my 6 hour flight landed, I hopped on a taxi to Neha's apartment, dropped off my suitcase and we began our Parisian adventure.

I'm going to Paris on Thursday. I'll be there for a week, and then catching a flight to Hong Kong. I'll be there a month. I'll update from Paris and Hong Kong too, I guess. I guess I will have lots of things to talk about and pictures to show probably. Right now I feel mopey because Adam is gone and I feel like there is a huge vacuum sucking away at my insides right now. But I'll see Neha AT LASTTTTTT on Thursday and I'm really excited about that.

My dreams lately have been dark and quiet: full of snow, and stillness. He whispered The past few months have felt like a dream as I fell asleep. There was a crescent moon the next morning when we woke. He took the train to the airport and I took the train home again. Home at 6:30 in the morning. I don't remember the last time I was awake for sunrise but it peeked pink and warm through the cold stones of manhattan.

1. my hair is sooooooooooooo soft right now. I just switched conditioners back to Pantene Pro-V and subsequently realized that I seriously underrated the value of switching up hair products now and then. It smells so so good and feels so so soft, I wish Adam were here so I could smoother him in it.

2. I spent 7 hrs in the digilab today. whatwasiworkingon?????????????????!!!sswljdfw. no showing yet, hahah. to be honest i've been working on 4 different art projects at once AHH i am going crazy trying to keep up with all of them and being sick and feeling sore all at the same time. :(
